Natal Super Strength was discovered in 1995 in KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa by Jon McGillivray.
It was initially believed to be a new strain of Psilocybe, but genetic analysis revealed that it was a phenotype of P. cubensis (still debated to this day). “Natal Super Strength” has a very fast and dense growth pattern, with long stipes that turn blue when touched and caps that vary from white to light brown.

This is such a fun strain to research! The growth rate of Natal is absolutely amazing; fast colonization, and crazy fast fruiting!!! It’s also very resistant to contam. which makes them perfect for the novice mycologists. The research of these can definitely be intense at times, but it’s very smooth and insightful.
